TG Enviro, Waste & Concrete Site Supervisor – Tattenhall, Cheshire

The Tudor Griffiths Group is one of the largest privately owned suppliers of construction and building materials in the UK, with Concrete Plants, Quarries and Builders Merchant depots located throughout North & Mid Wales, Shropshire, Cheshire and the West Midlands.

We currently have a vacancy for a Waste & Concrete Site Supervisor based at our office in Tattenhall (Chester), Cheshire.


  • To take responsibility for the effective running of the Waste Transfer Station, Scheduling Skip Orders/Collections and Batching Concrete.
  • This will involve effective communication with the Environment Agency when they arrive on site.
  • To ensure full compliance with Permits, Duty of Care and Waste
  • Acceptance Criteria.
  • To effectively manage the Skip Trak system, taking telephone and on-line orders and scheduling drivers for delivering and collection of skips.
  • To use the weighbridge and system for incoming third-party waste.
  • To use the loading shovel to manage waste inside the Transfer Station including loading bulk wagons collecting waste.
  • To batch concrete for collection by wagons and the effective maintenance of the batching plant.
  • To develop the TG brand.
  • Any other duties as reasonably required.


  • Experience in all aspects of operational waste management is an advantage.
  • A good knowledge of plant and recycling equipment.
  • Experience in batching concrete would be an advantage.
  • Computer literate, including the ability to learn new systems.
  • Highly organised and the ability to deliver targets and reporting.
  • Experience of using a loading shovel with an appropriate qualification would be an advantage.
  • An effective communicator and ability to work individually and as a team member in a demanding environment.
  • Excellent customer focus.
  • An excellent understanding and high standards of Health &  Safety.


  • A good standard of education or further education is required as well as further personal development.
  • Holding a CoTC in Waste Transfer would be an advantage or willing to undertake study.
  • IoSH in Health & Safety an advantage but not essential.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.


  • Negotiable depending upon experience and qualifications.
  • Hours Monday – Friday 6.30am – 16.30pm and some Saturday mornings as agreed.
  • Any overtime required will be paid in accordance with the company’s Terms & Conditions.

It is appreciated that this is a multi-tasking position and it is unlikely that candidates will hold all of the required skills so full on-site training will be provided as necessary.
