Sustainable Restoration at the Heart of TG Operations
At TG, restoration is a fundamental part of the quarrying process, not just the final step, but a key responsibility from the outset. Every bit of development work on a quarry site is carefully planned with its end use in mind, ensuring it can be returned to a beneficial state once extraction is complete.
This approach can be seen at one of TG’s recent sites, where just over three years ago the land was an active quarry. Today, it has been restored to agricultural grassland, ready to support future use. As part of the ongoing land management process, the area (in the photo) is currently being treated with an application of lime to help improve soil quality and promote healthy growth.
The project reflects TG’s wider commitment to sustainability, ensuring that land used to support essential construction materials is responsibly restored and reintegrated into the local landscape for long-term use.
